What Is the ClearSight Mirror System?
The ClearSight Mirror System is the factory‑approved digital rear‑view solution introduced on Jaguar & Land Rover vehicles from the 2023 model year onward. It replaces the traditional glass mirror with a high‑definition 7.5‑inch LCD that displays a live feed from a rear‑mounted wide‑angle camera. The system integrates with the vehicle’s Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) to provide lane‑keep, blind‑spot and rear‑cross‑traffic warnings.
OEM part number: JPLA‑23M054‑BP. The module is calibrated at the factory to JLR’s “ClearSight” algorithm, which automatically selects the optimal image (wide, normal or zoom) based on vehicle speed and steering angle.

Wiring & Integration

All signals are protected by a 3 A fuse (F212) at the Body Control Module (BCM) fuse block. The rear camera is mounted on the trunk lid (part # APS‑D17‑011) and is connected to the mirror via the same Ethernet cable.
Calibration & Programming (TOPIx Workflow)
1️⃣ Preparation
- Park the vehicle, engage the hand‑brake and switch the ignition to “ON”.
- Connect a 70 A + battery maintainer to keep voltage stable during flashing.
- Insert a certified
JLR Enet Wi‑Fiadapter into the OBD‑II port. - Launch TOPIx on a laptop with internet access; log in with engineering credentials.
2️⃣ Verify Current CCF
- In TOPIx select Vehicle → Identify → Mirror System (MIR) and click “Read CCF”.
- Find the flag
ClearSightEnabled. On a non‑digital build it will be0.
3️⃣ Enable the Digital Mirror
- Change
ClearSightEnabledto1. - Save the edited CCF and press **Write CCF** – TOPIx recalculates the checksum automatically.
- Run MIR → Self‑Test → Display to confirm the LCD powers up and receives video.
4️⃣ Camera Calibration Wizard
- Open MIR → Calibration → Camera and launch the “ClearSight Calibration Wizard”. The wizard aligns the camera’s horizontal and vertical offsets using the vehicle’s steering‑angle sensor.
- During the wizard the vehicle rolls slowly on a level surface; the system captures reference frames and stores the offset matrix in the CCF.
- When the wizard finishes, the live feed should show a stable horizon regardless of steering input.
5️⃣ Final Validation
- Power‑cycle the vehicle (IGN OFF → ON) and verify the mirror boots without error messages.
- Run a quick “All Systems OK” scan in TOPIx – any DTC such as
C0A80‑96 – ClearSight Plausibilitymust be cleared. - Record the new CCF checksum and calibration date in the service log as proof of a factory‑approved install.
