JLR Engineering & AFS Control Logic
JLR designs the Adaptive Xenons system to deliver predictable, road-safe illumination in all conditions. The HLCM collects live inputs from the ABS module, steering angle sensor, and suspension ride-height sensors. It commands the projector modules to swivel into corners and adjust vertically to avoid glare. The system disables swivel function when you select reverse gear and centers the beams for safe maneuvering. Cornering lamps activate on sharp steering input to illuminate roadside obstacles. All components meet JLR’s global lighting regulations and durability requirements for long-term reliability.
Visibility & Safety Advantages
You gain significantly improved night vision and corner illumination with JLR Adaptive Xenons. The swivel projectors light your path through bends before you reach them. Auto-levelling maintains correct beam aim regardless of vehicle load or terrain. Cornering lamps boost safety at junctions and roundabouts. The upgrade reduces driver fatigue, improves hazard detection, and enhances confidence in dark, rural, or winding road conditions. You retain the factory exterior look while gaining premium safety performance.
Fitment & JLR Diagnostic Programming
You install genuine JLR Adaptive Xenon headlight assemblies using OEM mounting points and factory connectors. After installation, you program the HLCM and BCM with JLR Pathfinder or SDD tools. You update the CCF configuration, calibrate zero position, and enable AFS functions to match your model and model year. The upgrade requires no drilling or modification and remains fully reversible. Professional coding ensures correct swivel calibration, levelling, and cornering lamp operation without fault codes.
