trailer. Trajectory lines are overlaid onto the images, depicting the
predicted path of the trailer. Different camera views can be selected via the
touchscreen. Advanced tow assist also operates the steering wheel when the

JLR Advanced Tow Assist is a premium factory ADAS feature engineered for modern Jaguar and Land Rover tow-capable vehicles. It transforms conventional manual trailer reversing into an automated, precision-guided process. Most drivers struggle with complex trailer steering geometry during reverse manoeuvres. For this reason, this OEM system removes human guesswork and delivers consistent, accurate trailer control. JLR Official Technical Operation
This intelligent tow system utilises factory rear-facing cameras and vehicle CAN-bus data to calculate trailer trajectory. It detects trailer articulation angles in real time while the vehicle reverses. Then, the module automatically controls steering inputs to follow the driver’s selected direction. Meanwhile, the driver retains full control over throttle and brake operation. This split-control design aligns strictly with JLR OEM safety logic for tow assist functions.
