JLR OEM Engineering & Security Logic</h2>>
JLR develops Gen 2 Activity Key hardware with enhanced cryptographic security compared to first-generation units. The wearable transponder communicates exclusively with the vehicle’s KVM and PEPS modules via encrypted RF protocols. It locks the vehicle and immobilises the cabin smart key when activated, preventing internal key lockouts. The system automatically re-enables the interior fob once the wearable key authenticates on return. All security handshake procedures follow JLR factory anti-theft standards to block unauthorised cloning and signal replay attacks. Module integration maintains full CAN bus stability without generating network DTC faults.
Vehicle & Lifestyle Benefits</h2>>
Drivers gain flexible, weather-resistant vehicle access for active outdoor lifestyles. The lightweight wristband design avoids bulky key fob carry and resists water, dirt, and impact damage. Secure cabin key immobilisation eliminates lock-in scenarios during beach visits, hiking, or water sports. Gen 2 hardware delivers faster RF response and more reliable authentication than older generation keys. Full OEM functionality preserves vehicle security systems and dealer serviceability. This retrofit upgrades vehicle convenience while retaining complete factory anti-theft protection.
OEM Programming & CCF Activation Process</h2>>
Our certified technicians perform a full vehicle pre-scan and CCF backup before key programming. We establish secure KVM/PEPS security access via DoIP VCI and JLR Pathfinder/TOPIx software. The process registers the new Gen 2 transponder, enables Activity Key functionality within the vehicle configuration file, and completes encrypted module pairing. Technicians validate lock, unlock, and start functions while confirming immobiliser state transitions work correctly. A final network scan clears residual codes and verifies fault-free operation across all relevant ECUs.
